<title>Attention Secondary Teachers</title>
<description><p><strong>The Teacher Voice on Assessment (TVA) Project</strong><br />For many years, secondary teachers&rsquo; concerns with assessment, evaluation, grading and reporting practices and policies across Ontario have not been addressed. The TVA project will enable secondary teachers to go online and complete a survey. <description><p>More info: Jobs People Do has been designed to assist teens with career path choices. It is an exciting and informative exploration of many different job options. <title>Safe@School Phase 2</title>
<description><p>Innovative resources on equity and inclusive education are on their way to teachers as part of Safe@School Phase 2.&nbsp; Focusing on the prevention of homophobia, racism and sexism, a new toolbox for secondary school teachers will <br />help teachers and other school staff as they strive to create schools where everyone can feel safe, strong and free.&nbsp; <br /><br />The new toolbox contains:<br />&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; a new DVD, including a video called Hear Me Out and students&rsquo; creative expressions about equity and inclusion;<br />&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; a professional learning module for teachers and support personnel in book format with strategies to diminish homophobia, racism and sexism in schools; and<br />&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; posters and pins to encourage dialogue with students about these important issues.<br /><br />A poster set will also be going out to every elementary school and a new section on the Safe@School website will soon be available.<br />Watch for the materials in your schools by the end of January or beginning of February.<br /><br />In the meantime, you can visit the Safe@School website at <a class="text" title="Safe at School" href="http://www.safeatschool.ca/index.php?q=en/home" target="_blank">www.safeatschool.ca</a>&nbsp; to access existing materials and activities on bullying prevention.</p></description>
